A Toronto-based contemporary artist from Northern Europe, Arunas Remeza T., creates emotionally charged, mixed-media artwork which is best described as... a blend of reality, abstract, and visual expressions of his life journey. His unique creations centre around figurative and abstract art. Although painting began as a hobby, the increasing interest and demand for his work propelled him towards pursuing professional artistry.
His love for art was inspired early on by the creative and artistic natures of his late father and grandmother. As a child, he spent countless hours lost in drawing and painting, however he had to put a hold on pursuing his passion in order to help his family make ends meet. At a young age Arunas was forced to postpone his dream of becoming an artist. Only after immigrating to Canada almost a decade ago, was he able to finally revisit his passion for arts. After a painful break up with the love of his life and a tragic loss of a close friend, he found himself painting as a means of healing and emotional expression. Arunas poured his heart into his artistry, which not only helped him connect with his emotions better, but also helped ease the integration into Canadian culture and community. Arunas maintains that art allows him to communicate his ideas and feelings to the public in a far more expressive and expansive manner than language ever could. In his artwork, he uses various materials such as pen, pencil, paint marker, acrylics, oils, micro-pigment ink on mixed mediums like paper or canvas. He is detail oriented and perfects his art, sometimes even spending up to 60 hours on completing a single piece.
Currently he is in the process of producing his first collection of paintings to be showcased in galleries. His artworks are available for private sales within the Greater Toronto Area and worldwide.
